  • President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at prohibiting federal funds from institutions teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) and gender ideology in K-12 schools, arguing that these concepts undermine critical thinking and sow division.
  • The order directs government officials to identify and reduce federal contracts and grants that support CRT and transgenderism in K-12 schools and calls for the production of an "Ending Indoctrination Strategy" within 90 days.
  • The president also signed an executive order to eliminate federal funding for schools and colleges that mandate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, targeting K-12 schools and colleges reliant on federal aid and student loan programs.
  • The order authorizes civil compliance investigations of institutions with endowments exceeding $1 billion and seeks to reshape the allocation of federal funds across educational institutions.
  • Trump asserts that CRT and DEI policies violate civil rights laws and undermine national unity and that his administration will enforce laws to protect parental rights and prohibit discrimination in educational institutions receiving federal funds.
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that would end the "radical indoctrination" in K-12 schools by prohibiting federal funds from institutions that teach Critical Race Theory (CRT) and gender ideology. During his speech on Jan. 29, Trump argued that students exposed to CRT and transgenderism are "forced to accept these ideologies without question or critical examination." "In many cases, innocent children are compelled to adopt identities as either victims or oppressors solely based on their skin color and other immutable characteristics," the president said. "In other instances, young men and women are made to question whether they were born in the wrong body and whether to view their parents and their reality as enemies to be blamed. These practices not only erode critical thinking but also sow division, confusion and distrust, which undermine the very foundations of personal identity and family unity." (Related: K-12 teachers compelled to take LGBTQIA+ training to brainwash students with perverse propaganda.) The order directs government officials to identify and reduce federal contracts and grants that support CRT and transgenderism in K-12 schools, as well as related teacher training, employment and certification programs. Additionally, the president called on the attorney general to work with state and local authorities to "file appropriate actions" against teachers and school officials who unlawfully facilitate the gender transition of minors. The executive order also instructs the secretaries of defense, education, health and human services to collaborate with the attorney general's office to produce an "Ending Indoctrination Strategy" within 90 days. The order asserts that CRT concepts such as "White Privilege" and "unconscious bias" promote "racial discrimination" and undermine "national unity." The president further argued that promoting transgenderism in schools, through the use of preferred pronouns, referring to pupils as "nonbinary," and allowing students to use facilities designated for the opposite sex, steers children "toward surgical and chemical mutilation without parental consent or involvement and violates several federal statutes." "My administration will enforce the law to ensure that recipients of Federal funds providing K-12 education comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination in various contexts and protecting parental rights," he declared.

Trump to eliminate federal funding for schools and colleges with DEI practices

Trump earlier signed an executive order that would eliminate federal funding for schools and colleges that mandate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies or engage with contractors implementing such practices. The executive order, titled "Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity," targets K-12 schools receiving federal aid for special education and low-income programs, as well as colleges and universities reliant on federal student loan programs, such as Pell Grants. Educational institutions must comply with the new mandate within 120 days or risk losing federal funding. Under the directive, the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Education and the Office of Management and Budget will identify "the most egregious and discriminatory practitioners" in each education sector. The order also authorizes up to nine civil compliance investigations targeting institutions with endowments exceeding $1 billion, potentially implicating some of the nation's most prestigious universities and colleges. "Illegal DEI and DEIA policies not only violate the text and spirit of our longstanding Federal civil-rights laws, they also undermine our national unity… Hardworking Americans who deserve a shot at the American Dream should not be stigmatized, demeaned or shut out of opportunities because of their race or sex," the executive order stated. The directive also extends to credentialing agencies under the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, as federally funded research and other programs rely on compliance with accreditation standards. Additionally, the measure seeks to reshape the allocation of federal funds across educational institutions. Head over to CultureWars.news for similar stories.
